  • We are regionally based in Armidale, NSW, which makes us well suited to get to know your regional build site. We have projects stretching from Northern NSW down to the Newcastle region, with industry connections to match and our finger on the pulse of the regional building climate. You are welcome to visit our friendly design studio in downtown Armidale anytime, and we are always happy to book a call or visit to chat about your project.

  • We are designing from Australia’s highest (and possibly coldest) city and our service region extends from the New England High Country to the Western Plains, so we understand and design for environmental extremes. We have loads of experience at designing rural off-grid solutions for living in the harsh sub-zero winters to dry hot summers. Our passive design process translates to reduced energy costs and comfortable living.

  • Being regional we tend to be better placed to offer architectural services with less overhead so you get equivalent service to a full service Sydney Architecture firm… regionally. We are transparent with our design fees and work closely with clients and builders throughout our design process with your build budget in mind.

  • Depending on the size of your project, we strive to get from concept to submission for DA Approvals within 6 months. We have a cohesive inhouse team handling the completion of core project phases such as Architectural Design, Interior Design, DA Documentation with additional services offered for Construction Documentation and Contract Admin. Epic UX?

When it comes to home design, it’s easy to focus solely on the aesthetics of a space. True liveability however, is so much more than just our sensory response to what we see.

The concept of UX (user experience) is a term we normally associate with how people use a website or an app. At Epic Architecture, we like to use it as a way to describe how we ‘feel’ about our home. How we engage with spaces and the way a home enhances our lives. The intangibles...

But they’re not all intangibles are they! Small details (done poorly) can have massive ramifications. Sometimes they’re just those pesky annoyances, and other times they can be expensive mistakes (think energy efficiency) or even potential safety hazards for you and your family. Thoughtful design and style has the power to make us happy. It’s functional, beautiful, and accessible. So how do you get there? It starts with a conversation.

At Epic Architecture, our passionate design and support team take a hands-on approach to every project we undertake. We listen, we collaborate and then design utilising the latest hyper-real visualisation technology to iterate design concepts during the concept phases of a project. Design workshops allow customers to experience their future home spaces via a 3D walk-thru, select palettes and materials in real-time and accurately plan interiors within the virtual environment. High resolution renders and virtual models accompany project documentation so that customers can experience, review and share their home design with stakeholders, friends and family before finalising construction documentation. At Epic Architecture, we make the design process collaborative, fun and immersive. We don't just draw lines to give a builder, we are there to introduce experiences and moments that you will be able to re-live every time you are in that space.

Emotion in architecture can often be linked to how well an architecture exudes a “sense of place” — where the emotion experienced of a particular architecture can be shaped by its “sense of place”.
